Career Summary & Current Responsibilities

With over 35 years’ experience spanning ground up mixed-use development, adaptive reuse retail leasing, outlet malls, food halls, hospitality and restaurant franchising, Kelly has worked extensively on both the tenant and ownership sides, giving her a unique ability to structure deals across multiple retail product types.

Wilson joins SSG Realty Partners and its parent firm, Artisan Land Companies as Regional Partner and Director of SSG’s Retail Properties Group. After serving for over six years as Senior Vice President of Leasing and Tenant Representation at Ackerman Retail, Kelly worked on transformational projects such as Lee + White, Porter on Peachtree and Westside Village in addition to her responsibility for several million square feet of third-party project leasing assignments for owners such as Ardent, ATR Corinth, Brixmor, Kimco and Slate Asset Management. A Lifetime Member of the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors (ACBR) Million Dollar Club, Kelly was recognized as a 2023 Top Ten Retail Producer.

Prior to her tenure at Ackerman Retail, Kelly was a partner at The Windsor Realty Group, where she specialized in tenant representation charged with expanding store count for local, regional and national tenants.  Senior Vice President at Lennar Commercial, where she directed the third-party leasing of a 3-million-square-foot portfolio of Class A lifestyle and power centers, including The Avenue East Cobb, Avenue West Cobb, Avenue Peachtree City, GA, Avenue Viera, FL. She was instrumental in launching the Tanger Outlets in Pooler, Ga., in her role as senior vice president of leasing at Ben Carter Enterprises. As director of retail leasing at Thomas Enterprises, she managed leasing for 2 million square feet of lifestyle and power centers across the U.S.

In prior roles in the retail and restaurant sectors, Kelly was also a franchise sales director for Raving Brands (Moe’s Southwest Grill, Doc Green’s, Shane’s Rib Shack, Monkey Joe’s, Flying Biscuit Cafe and Mama Fu’s Asian House) Blimpie Subs and Salads and a retail leasing representative for preferred Publix developer Paradise Development Group.  

A Georgia native with deep family roots in the Southeast, Kelly is originally from Augusta, Ga and moved to Atlanta in 1975 when her mother was promoted to become the first female branch manager for then Atlanta Federal Savings & Loan. Kelly has one son and she and her husband Paul reside in Woodstock, GA.

Fun fact:  As a card carrying member of Actor’s Equity, Kelly has appeared on many stages in various Light Opera, Musical Theatre and Live Band performances throughout the country.
